Well, it’s really more like five days till I fly to LA for my Costa Rica internship pre-orientation. I’m so excited! And also overwhelmed. There’s so much to do! I’ve been checking off tasks from my massive to-do list but it feels like every time I check something off I add two more things.

But things are getting done and I’m feeling increasingly ready to go. The past few weeks have been a collage of errands, last-minute coffee dates and co-working sessions with friends, farewells at work, and hours-long sessions on the floor of my room packing.
In the midst of the chaotic flurry of to-dos and social events I’ve been reflecting on this moment of my life. This two-month stint in Costa Rica is only the beginning of a whole new chapter of firsts and fresh starts. That feels a little scary if I’m honest. It’s intimidating to throw yourself wholeheartedly into the deep end of the pool when you’re not entirely sure you know all the strokes. But it’s also exhilarating. There’s the potential that things will work out better than you could have ever imagined. And that’s what I’m holding onto right now.
Next stop, Costa Rica!
